Greetings from Elkton, Oregon, home of world-class outdoor activities, wineries, and the best in riverside activities—a true gem on the Umpqua River. It is also the home of Bluegrass and Butterflies—a family friendly bluegrass and folk festival featuring first-class music, food, and Northwest flavors. 2023 was our first year & it was a resounding success with over 450 participants for our one-day inaugural event. This will be our third year & we are back with additional days; double the music and we have added over seventy more camping spots due to popular demand.

We expect to double our attendance.

We stand by our motto that “Music is Medicine” & We invite you to join us in helping Bluegrass and Butterflies grow to greater success by becoming a valued sponsor. This festival showcases our North Douglas County region of Oregon with great music, locally sourced foods, and drinks on the spacious Fort Umpqua location next to the Umpqua River during the sublime late days of summer.

It is a wonderful event that directs proceeds to the local outstanding non-profit Elkton Community Education Center & their rural healthcare initiative. The initiative works diligently to bring healthcare & wellness to Elkton for local rural citizens that have barriers to accessing healthcare.

Exciting news for 2025 is that we have teamed up with the non-profit Music on the Bay (MOB) to ensure your tax-deductible donation goes directly toward music festival requirements and healthcare initiatives.
